At Hoek Modular Homes, we believe in creating more than just houses – we create homes where families can grow closer, memories can be made, and life’s moments can be cherished. Recently, we had the privilege of delivering a beautiful new two-bedroom home to a family in The Gap, designed especially for their mum.
This project was a perfect example of how a thoughtfully designed granny flat can bring loved ones together while giving them the independence and comfort they deserve. For Mum, her new home offers all the benefits of having her own space while staying just a stone’s throw away from her family.
Mum’s new home is more than just a house – it’s a sanctuary. The two-bedroom design includes an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area with high vaulted ceilings, creating a sense of spaciousness and elegance.
To make life easier, we incorporated a ramp for easy access, ensuring the home is both safe and practical. The bathroom is equipped with a large double shower, and there’s a separate laundry for added convenience. Every detail has been carefully considered to make the space comfortable and functional.
We understand that every block of land – and every family’s needs – is unique. In this case, the family had a 615sqm block with an existing home already on it. To ensure Mum’s new house could fit seamlessly on the property, we worked closely with Brisbane City Council to apply for a relaxation prior to the full certification approval.
This process was crucial to making the vision a reality, and it’s part of the above-and-beyond service we offer to all our clients. From the initial site visit to the final handover, our goal is to make the journey as stress-free as possible, so our clients can focus on what truly matters – their family.
At Hoek Modular Homes, we take pride in offering a range of solutions to suit every need, from one-bedroom granny flats to five-bedroom family homes, all fully engineered, council-approved, and compliant with Australian building codes.
Whether you’re looking to build accomodation for a loved one, add an extra space to your property, or even explore rental opportunities (yes, you can rent out granny flats now), we’re here to help. We also provide free, no-obligation site visits to discuss your ideas and help bring your dream home to life.
We want to thank this wonderful family for trusting us with such an important project. It was an honor to create a space where Mum can feel at home while staying close to the people she loves. We sincerely hope this new home becomes the backdrop for many joyful moments and cherished memories for years to come.
