Trainee Estimator

Hoek Modular Homes have a wonderful opportunity for someone to get an introduction to the construction industry as a trainee estimator. This position would suit a student studying construction management, a Tradie wanting get off the tools, a designer wanting a new challenge or anyone with some construction industry experience who would like to learn.

Significant training provided by highly qualified staff.

Hoek Modular Homes is a North Brisbane based family owned and operated construction business specialising in rural homes, modular homes, and secondary dwellings.

We have maintained solid growth and are now seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a full time trainee Estimator position.

Duties will include but are not limited to;

• Work under experienced Estimators and have a strong willingness to learn
• Preparing take-offs
• Preparing and sending purchase orders
• Stock management
• Variations
• Associated tasks as required by the lead Estimator

Qualifications & Experience:

• Construction experience advantageous
• Ability to read construction plans advantageous
• Strong time management skills
• Strong computer skills utilising Microsoft office suite
• Exceptional time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Team Player
• Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and adapt
