At Hoek Modular Homes, we take pride not only in the homes we build but also in the opportunities we create for the next generation of builders. We are thrilled to introduce our two newest apprentices, Cameron and Phoenix, who officially joined our team in 2025 after an impressive journey with us in 2024. Their stories are a testament to the kind of work environment we strive to foster: one that nurtures talent, encourages growth, and builds strong foundations for long-term success.
Cameron brings a rich heritage of craftsmanship to her new role. Her father, a long-time employee and expert house installer at Hoek Modular Homes, has not only passed down his skills but also his passion for the industry. Working alongside him, Cameron has already gained invaluable experience installing homes in Queensland’s outback, tackling the unique challenges of remote construction.
Even at a young age, Cameron’s dedication and work ethic have set her apart. Her willingness to embrace challenges, coupled with her growing skill set, positions her as a future leader in the field. With her father as a role model, we have no doubt Cameron will carve out her own legacy at Hoek Modular Homes, perhaps even surpassing the high standards he has set.
Phoenix’s journey with Hoek Modular Homes began close to home, literally. His mother, Nicole, plays a vital role in our operations as Workflow Manager, and Phoenix has clearly inherited her commitment to excellence. Starting with work experience and progressing to a junior builder’s labourer role, Phoenix has consistently demonstrated initiative and an eagerness to learn.
From assisting on various construction sites around Brisbane to contributing to our high-profile project at Australia Zoo, Phoenix has proven that he is ready to step up and embrace the responsibilities of an apprenticeship. His determination and hands-on approach give us confidence that he will thrive in this next chapter of his career.
At Hoek Modular Homes, we believe in more than just building houses; we believe in building people. Supporting Cameron and Phoenix as they take their first official steps toward a career in construction is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing talent and empowering the next generation of tradespeople.
Apprenticeships are not just about learning technical skills, they’re about fostering resilience, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. We’re proud to create an environment where young people like Cameron and Phoenix can thrive, supported by mentors who are deeply invested in their growth.
As we welcome Cameron and Phoenix to the next stage of their journey, we look forward to seeing how their careers unfold. They have already shown incredible promise, and we are excited to see how they contribute to Hoek Modular Homes and the industry as a whole.
To Cameron, Phoenix, and all the young people aspiring to make their mark in the trades: Your journey begins with hard work and a willingness to learn. At Hoek Modular Homes, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Here’s to building futures—step by step, home by home.
